Harvest Period
Pomegranates don't continue ripening after harvest, so they must be picked fully ripe to ensure the best quality for consumption.
The Wonderful variety arrives in the month of October.
Harvest and Shipment
In the early morning of the shipment day we go to the fields to pick the pomegranates. We harvest those with the perfect maturity level so that they arrive safe and sound. Afterwards, we put them into a box with recycled material, without any plastic. In the afternoon of the same say, our transport partner comes and picks them up.
When they arrive, consume the ripe fruits first.
Origin
Huerto de Ana
Ana is the agricultural engineer of Naranjas del Carmen and as such directs the cultivation on the plantation. However, agriculture is not only her work, but also her life. In 2016, she decided to buy a small plantation near Naranjas del Carmen, wich she named "Huerto de Ana". Together with her husband and their two sons she practices a very natural agriculture without using any herbicides or pesticides. The fruits of their hard work they harvest every year in October in form of pomegranates.
