New packaging for our extra virgin olive oil

In recent years, we have been adjusting the packaging of our organic extra virgin olive oil, but there was a major drawback: the tin cans we used, although food-safe and BPA-free, were prone to dents. During transport, even a slight bump was enough to damage them, affecting both the aesthetics and the experience of pouring the oil.

That’s why we searched for alternatives, consulted with other farmers, conducted tests, and finally chose the Bag-in-Box. This system consists of a sturdy cardboard box containing a flexible internal bag, designed to protect and preserve the freshness of the olive oil.

Improved storage

Thanks to the airtight seal, contact with oxygen is minimized, which significantly extends the shelf life of the oil and prevents oxidation. This is a key aspect in reducing food waste.

Compact storage

Due to its compact shape, the Bag-in-Box can be stacked and stored efficiently. Compared to traditional bottles, it takes up less space. Its solid structure allows stacking of boxes full of olive oil without slipping or toppling over. Additionally, the Bag-in-Box arrives folded and flat, making transportation from the manufacturer to us more sustainable in terms of CO2 emissions. Once it arrives, we fill it with our extra virgin olive oil before shipping it to you.

Easy pouring

The integrated dispenser allows you to pour olive oil precisely and cleanly, without spills. Moreover, the pouring system controls the amount used, making it easier to quickly fill an oil dispenser, for example, without needing to open the entire container.

Sustainable design

One advantage of the Bag-in-Box packaging is the reduction in material usage compared to conventional rigid packaging. The combination of cardboard and the internal bag structure allows for minimal plastic usage.
